2) In the case of a Director also being declared as Company Secretary, you must specify another individual as a Director so that there are 2 different people acting as officers of the company). When creating a new limited company it is ideal to have at least 2 separate individuals to act as officers of the proposed company (e.g. 1 Director and 1 Company Secretary), although the new Companies Act 2006 which came into force on 6th April 2008 now states that a company can infact have only 1 director and no other party.
